Who it is for

For private schools

An independent school has a district-sized dismissal problem and nothing like a district-sized budget. Three hundred families arrive at one driveway inside twelve minutes, and the systems built for that scale are priced and shaped for ten times your enrollment.

The problem is the driveway, not the software

Most schools this size are not running dismissal badly because they chose badly. They are running it on a walkie-talkie, a laminated list and someone calling names, because the alternative was a platform sold to districts with a procurement cycle to match.

AuthExit is the same job done from the phones and tablets already in the building: a parent requests from the car, the child joins a live queue, and the exit closes with a scan. You name your own pickup lanes, so the queue matches your driveway rather than the other way round.

Who this fits

  • Independent day schools with a real car line and an office that would rather not run it on paper.
  • Montessori and Waldorf schools, where mixed-age grouping breaks systems that assume a fixed K-12 ladder. Grade names here are free text.
  • Faith-based day schools that need attendance, a lending library and dismissal without three separate contracts.
  • Microschools and hybrid academies, small enough that per-student pricing is punitive and a flat annual fee is not.

Why not just use the free car line app?

If a pickup queue is genuinely all you need, use it. That is an honest answer and it is the right one for some schools.

It stops being the right answer the moment you also take classroom attendance and lend books, because then you are running three products with three rosters, and every enrollment change has to be made three times. AuthExit keeps one roster and one student ID card — the same QR the door scanner reads is the one the library reads at checkout. That argument in full.

What it does not do

It is not a student information system. There is no admissions pipeline, no billing, no gradebook and no transcripts. If you run a SIS already, this sits beside it and takes the daily operational load the SIS handles badly. Saying that plainly is cheaper for both of us than discovering it on a demo call.

What it costs

SchoolPer year
Five days a week, up to 500 students$650
Five days a week, 500 to 1,200 students$950
ParentsFree, permanently

Flat, for the whole school, never per student. Every module is included in both tiers. Scanners are optional and not included.

Common questions

We are not a district. Is this priced for us?
Yes. Pricing is one flat annual fee for the whole school and never per student, so a 180-student school is not quoted as though it were 1,800. A daily school up to 500 students is $650 a year and a daily school of 500 to 1,200 is $950, with every module included in both.
Is this a student information system?
No, and it is not trying to be. AuthExit does the daily operational jobs — attendance, the library and the pickup line. It does not do admissions, billing, gradebooks or transcripts. If you already run a SIS, this sits alongside it and covers what the SIS makes painful.
How does the car rider line actually work?
A parent requests pickup from their phone as they arrive, optionally checked against the school’s location. The child joins a live queue that staff can see on any screen, and the exit is closed by scanning the student’s QR ID card at the door. You can name your own pickup lanes so the queue matches the way your driveway is actually laid out.
Can grandparents and sitters collect?
Yes, once the office has approved them. A parent nominates the person from the app and the request goes into the school’s approvals queue — it becomes usable when a Super Admin approves it, not before. The approved adult then gets the same digital car tag on their own phone.
Do we need to buy scanners?
No. Scanning works from the camera on a phone or tablet you already own. Dedicated scanners are faster at a busy door and we recommend them for a large school, but they are optional and are not included in the subscription.
We have more than one campus. How is that priced?
As a network: a $250 base for the organization plus each campus at half its standalone rate, from two campuses upward, on one invoice. Be aware of one current limit — there is no single dashboard spanning all campuses today, though it is something we can build.
